I can’t believe Halloween is on SATURDAY! And even more exciting is I have a 10K on Saturday. I am not even nervous about races anymore, I feel like if I just go out there an run my hardest that is all I can ask for.
This morning I woke up and completed the Jillian Michaels 30 day Shred. I am still on Level 1, but I do the advanced version, and used 5 lb weights for the easier exercises. I will move to level 2 next week….I hope!
I knew I had 2 pretty empty jars of peanut butter so I thought what better breakfast to make than oats in a jar. I have seen it all over the blogs and never tried it myself.
I started out with this.

Now I know it looks like there is not much in the jar. But trust me-there is. I was determined to get out every last smidge of Peanut Butter.
In my oats I combined
- 1/2 C fat free milk
- 1/2 C water
- 3/4 C oats
- 2 big scoops of Trader Joe’s Organic Pumpkin
- cinnamon
- pumpkin pie spice
I actually liked the flavor and texture of this pumpkin better than the regular canned pumpkin. Then I took my pretty much empty Mighty Maple peanut butter jar (so sad this is gone-i loved this flavor) and added about 3/4 of t the pumpkin oats I made, a few dried cranberries and a drizzle of agave.

MMMM MMMM Absolutely sinful. I don’t know why I never thought of this before! Accompanied by a Mighty Mug of coffee. Since I was finally out of all my coffees I bought some Mayorga coffee from Costco. It is Cubano dark roast. Much stronger than my other coffees so I have to make it differently than I am used to. But it is deeeelish!

And I have leftovers for tomorrows breakfast. I can’t wait!
In other news-the Target near me just opened up a grocery store. Yes-I said grocery store. It’s not just a Super Target, this is a full out grocery store with fresh produce and breads. I haven’t tried it out yet, and I really don’t know how I feel about it, but the coupons that came in the mail were enticing. And I saw a flavor or Peanut Butter & Co. there-Cinnamon Raisin Peanut Butter. I may have to go just for that!
Have a great Halloween Week!
